Delete your account and data

In the app (fastest): open Branchlings, go to Settings → Your family’s account → Delete account, and confirm. If you’ve set a grown-up PIN, you’ll be asked for it first.

Everything is deleted straight away from our servers: your family, every child’s details, characters, photos, paintings, stories and ideas, your consents, purchases and sign-in records. What the app kept on your phone is deleted too. It can’t be undone.

Without the app: email john@phantom-labs.com from the email address you’d like us to reply to, and include your family’s reference if you have it (Settings → Privacy → Ask us about privacy adds it for you). We’ll check the request comes from your family, delete your account within 30 days, and tell you when it’s done.

Your subscription. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a subscription; Apple or Google bills for it. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings.

Only some of your data? You don’t have to delete your account to:

• delete photos: Settings → Privacy → Delete photos now;
• remove someone from the cast: open their character in the Cast tab, then Remove (their name) from your cast;
• stop new stories being made: switch off AI story making in Settings → Privacy;
• anything else (like one child’s details and stories): email us.

What we keep after deleting: nothing about your family in our app or database. For a short time a copy may remain with our service providers: our AI provider keeps what it was sent for up to 30 days. Analytics events (a random family id with no child details) are kept under our project’s retention setting; they aren’t yet deleted when a family deletes its account. Database backups roll off. We keep nothing we don’t need, and never sell it.
